✨ Join Me for a 5-days Haute Couture Embellishment Workshop!✨
Embroidery, craft & Inspiration, in Florence, Sept 1 to 5.
Dear embroidery and textile lovers,
If you’ve followed my work for a while, you’ll know just how much I adore Florence. It’s one of my favorite places in the world—bursting with beauty, creativity, and centuries of artistic heritage. From the architecture to the food (check my recommendations list here), the warm-hearted people, and of course the rich textile traditions, it’s a place I return to again and again. For me, this city and the region truly feel like a second home, apparently Albertini is a Tuscan name, so it might make sense.
I’m very excited to invite you to join me at the end of the summer, at Polimoda where I will be teaching for a very special intensive course: Haute Couture Embellishment Techniques.
Dates: September 1 to 5
Location: Polimoda, Florence, Italy
Open to: All levels—from dedicated beginners to seasoned creatives
Certification: Official Polimoda Certificate of Attendance
Over five immersive days, we’ll step inside the refined world of haute couture craftsmanship, exploring the art of embellishment that defines the most iconic Parisian fashion houses. Think: prick and pouncing technique, setting up a an embroidery frame, needle stitches, soft fabrics manipulations, shimmering Luneville beading, delicate featherwork, —techniques that I have personnaly used when designing embroideries for Chloé, Dries van Noten, Balmain, Dior and beyond!

Whether you're an embroidery professional, a fashion student, or a curious creative with a love for detail, this is your chance to learn couture atelier methods and build a portfolio of exquisite samples using luxury materials.
What you can expect:
🪡 Master couture techniques: Luneville hook embroidery, featherwork, and fine hand embellishment
🧵 Premium materials: Work with precious threads, beads, tubes, crystals and feathers
🎓 Expert guidance: I’ll be sharing industry insights, design behind-the-scenes and step-by-step instructions throughout the week
🏛️ Atelier atmosphere: A hands-on, focused, and deeply creative workshop in one of the best fashion schools in the world. The premises are stunning, spacious and full of natural light.
By the end of the course, you’ll leav with a new repertoire of couture skills in the shape of a beautiful hand-embellished sample.
✨ Spaces are limited, and this is a rare opportunity to train in couture embellishment at such a prestigious institution.
On another note, but always in Florence, I want to send heart-felt congratulations and big hug to my fabulous 7 students of the Textiles Masters: from Farm to Fabric to Fashion program at Polimoda. They graduated yesterday and they will be presenting their fabulous collections, by appointment, from today till June 18th. If you are in Florence, don’t miss it!

Feel free to reply to this email with any questions—I’d be happy to help.
Warmly,
Nadia
